Pleanáil Teanga

Chuir Sult na Sollán agus Cill Dara le Gaeilge tús leis an bproiséis pleanáil teanga go luath i 2017 le sraith cruinnithe chun ionchur a fháil ón bpobal i gContae Chill Dara. D’fhreastal thart ar caoga duine ar chruinniú poiblí ar 13 Meitheanmh 2017 sna Solláin le neart díospóireachta agus neart plé ón na lucht féachana a bhí i láthair. I measc na cur i láthair ar an oíche bhí an béim ar ceithre ábhar faoi leith – stadas an teanga ; deiseanna foghlama, deiseanna cainte, agus feiceáilteacht an teanga.

Lean an grúpa pleanála ar aghaidh ag obair ag bailiú comhairle ó na bpríomh páirtithe leasmhara pobail. Foilsíodh dréacht den phlean agus rinneadh go leor leasaithe de bharr an t-aiseolas a thugadh don grúpa pleanála i rith an tréimhse seo.

Faoi dheireadh, foilsíodh an chéad plean teanga do Chontae Chill Dara i Mí Feabhra 2019 in Áras Chill Dara, Ceanncheathrú Comhairle Contae Chill Dara. Plean cúig bhliana atá i gceist don tréimhse 2019-2023. Tá cóip den phlean agus cuid sonraí faoin seoladh ar fáil thíos.

Sult na Sollán and Cill Dara le Gaeilge began the language planning process in early 2017 with a series of meetings to get input from the public in County Kildare. Approximately fifty people attended a public meeting on 13 June 2017 in Sallins with plenty of debate and discussion from the audiences in attendance. Among the presentations on the night was the emphasis on four specific topics – the status of the language; opportunities for learning, speaking opportunities, and visibility of the language.

The planning group continued to work to gather advice from key community stakeholders. A draft of the plan was published and much revision was made as a result of the feedback provided to the planning group during this period.

Finally, the first language plan for County Kildare was published in February 2019 in Áras Chill Dara, Kildare County Council HQ. This is a five-year plan for the period 2019-2023. A copy of the plan and details of the address are available below.
