Baineann Meitheal Chill Dara le pleanáil teanga. Thosaigh sé i 2020 i ndiaidh an phlean teanga a sheoladh i 2019. Mar chuid den phróiseas pleanála i gcontae Chill Dara, eagraítear comhdháil bhliantúil faoin bplean i rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. I mbliana, tháinig pobal na Gaeilge le chéile ar 05/03/22 agus phléamar na deiseanna agus chur chun cinn na Gaeilge. Is é Séamus Ó Ceannainn, a bhí ina fhear an tí ar Meitheal Chill Dara 2022. Chuir Naoise Ó Cearúil, Ardmhéara Chill Dara, Daithí de Faoite, Cathaoirleach Cill Dara le Gaeilge agus Lorcán Mac Gabhann, Ceannasaí, Glór na nGael fáilte roimh na daoine a tháinig chuig an gcomhdháil. Bíonn tuairiscí ó na ceantair bardasacha ann gach bliain agus labhair na hionadaithe faoin obair atá idir lámha acu. Bhí Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Ceann Comhairle ina aoichainteoir. Phléamar téamaí éagsúla sna mioncheardlanna, grúpaí deonacha, gnó agus seirbhísí stáit, oideachas, deiseanna an Ghaeilge a fhoghlaim, deiseanna nua don phobal agus tógáil clainne le Gaeilge i gContae Chill Dara. Bhí scéalta gasta ón bpobal agus scéalta gasta ó thar lear ann freisin. Labhair Daithí de Faoite, faoin gcéad chéim eile agus na deiseanna atá ann don Ghaeilge.

Meitheal Chill Dara focuses on language planning. It began in 2020 following the launch of the language plan in 2019. As part of the planning process in County Kildare, an annual conference on the plan is organised during Seachtain na Gaeilge. This year, the Irish language community came together on 05/03/22 and we discussed the opportunities and promotion of the Irish language. Séamus Ó Ceannainn was the housekeeper of Meitheal Chill Dara 2022. Naoise Ó Cearúil, Lord Mayor of Kildare, Daithí de Faoite, Cathaoirleach of Cill Dara le Gaeilge and Lorcán Mac Gabhann, Ceannasaí, Glór na nGael welcomed the attendees. Beití Ní Dhuibhir, Irish Language Officer spoke to Kildare County Council about Kildare County Council’s Irish Language Scheme, Irish language project opportunities with Creative Ireland and Irish Language Events with Kildare Libraries for Seachtain na Gaeilge

There are reports from the municipal districts every year and the representatives have spoken about the work they are doing. Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Ceann Comhairle was the keynote speaker. We discussed various themes in the mini-workshops, voluntary groups, business and state services, education, opportunities to learn Irish, new opportunities for the community and raising a family with Irish in County Kildare. There were also quick stories from the public and quick stories from abroad. Daithí de Faoite, spoke about the next step and the opportunities for the Irish language.
